Self-affirmations have become my way of life, especially in moments of extreme anxiety! It’s something I battle on the daily so finding a tool that i could use to help me move out of that state was the best thing I could have ever done.
I learned about them through social media really, but I never took the time to put them into practice. And honestly at first it was because i thought it was silly…but i was completely in the wrong.
I almost felt weird saying them aloud or even speaking them in my head, but I realized there was no reason to feel weird. I’m simply forcing my mind to have more positive conversations with myself. So the value that self-affirmations can provide you definitely outweighs the initial fear or uncomfortable feeling you may have before getting started.
Speaking self-affirmations to yourself every day or when you need a mental pick up is a great resource in your toolbox for self-care. It forces you to change the way you think about yourself and your place in this crazy world. It also reminds you of all the good that is you and pushes negative thoughts and feelings far away from your mind and spirit.
So I have gathered 25 self-affirmations that have inspired me which you can use to feel more positive, empowered and hopefully ready to tackle any day or task with ease.
I am doing the best that I can do.
This is great one to help remind you that you are only one person and that you should give yourself more credit for all that is that you do.
I am stronger than I think I am.
To remind you that you are strong not only for the things you accomplish daily, but that are you are a strong person who can handle the good and bad that life brings.
I am at peace with myself.
Being at peace with yourself is the key to being at peace with others. This is not easy but it is the first step in focusing your efforts inward.
I believe in myself.
Remind yourself that no matter what has happened or will happen, that you believe you can move through. It may not be easy and most often it will be very difficult, but you can do anything!
I love the person that I am and am becoming.
Nothing happens over night. Progress takes time so remember that you are a work in progress and be hopeful for where you are headed.
I am successful.
Most people think of success as it ties to their professional career, but there is a TON of ways that you can be successful. Remind yourself of all the accomplishments you have and how you will continue chasing that success. Whatever that looks like to you!
I am going to let go of negative thoughts and feelings.
Having negative thoughts and/ or feelings is completely normal. Allow yourself to feel it and then let it go and move on. You don’t have to live in the negative space, it’s supposed to be temporary!
I am beautiful inside and out.
You are beautiful physically, emotionally and mentally. You get to define beauty so isn’t it time you start with you?
I am grateful for who I am and where I am in life.
Being grateful for not only yourself but for other things and people allows you to practice mindfulness. It pushes you to remember that there is something you can be thankful for.

I am a warrior and I will give myself more credit for all the hard work I do.
Remind yourself how powerful you are! Sometimes we don’t give ourselves enough credit for all the work we do each day and for ourselves. Remind yourself of all the good you do and how you’re working to be better.
I am worthy of love and peace.
Every one, and I mean every single person deserves to feel love and peace, from within and from others. Don’t forget that you are worthy of everything it is you want, you just have to believe it.
I am a force to be reckoned with.
This is a great one to remind yourself of your internal strength. You are more powerful than you think and you have the ability to transform not only your life, but the lives of others. Isn’t that pretty freaking awesome?!
I will attract opportunities that force me to operate at the best version of myself.
You are in control of how often you get to live as the best version of yourself. By being open to more opportunities that help you improve any facet of your life, you get to see the world from a different perspective. You get to see it while giving the best possible you.
I am wanted and needed by the people in my life.
This is a great reminder of all the great people in your life who simply want to love you and be there for you. You don’t have to talk every second of every day, but it’s nice to remind yourself that you have a community behind you.
I am more important than anything in this world.
Sometimes we get lost in this little crazy thing we called life and I totally get it, it happens to me too. But reminding myself that I matter more than any person or thing forces me to take real good care of myself. Because nobody else will!
I can make a difference in this world.
You can do anything that you want if you put in the time and the work. Simply remind yourself of your qualities and the abilities you have.

I trust myself and my decisions.
You are a human being and it’s safe to say you will make mistakes but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t trust yourself. You know more than you think and you can navigate any situation by using your decision making skills.
I am not defined by my anxiety.
Most people do experience some type of anxiety at some point in their life but it’s important to know that no matter how far and few those moments are, that they do not define you. Anxiety or depression are conditions that can be managed and should never be looked at as your defining characteristic.
I am brave.
You are brave for trying to improve the way you take care of yourself, and that is something to be proud of! You are taking steps to improve your lifestyle and that makes you braver than most.
I deserve happiness in this life.
Remind yourself that you are worthy of happiness. You may not feel the happiest every day but it does not mean you don’t deserve it!
I am in charge of my life.
Something my mom used to say when she would come across an aggressive driver on the road was, “only one person can drive this car!”
Only one person can be in charge of your life and that is YOU!
I am grounded in this moment.
Use this moment to continue practicing mindfulness. Allow the moment of speaking affirmations really sink in and try to focus on being in this moment, no where else.
I can accomplish anything I want to do today.
Set the tone for today and remind yourself that no matter how you feel, you can accomplish any goal or task that you set your mind to (within reason). Embrace positive thinking and watch how it impacts the rest of your day.
I am open to change and embrace it with positive thoughts.
Being open to change pushes you to get used to the “uncomfortable” and find ways to embrace it instead of going against it. Most often it is not change per say that is hard, it’s not knowing that you have the ability to move through it positively.
I am enough.
You are enough. Yesterday, today and tomorrow, you are enough. You are enough for yourself, for that career move you want to do, for that relationship you’re thinking about getting into, it doesn’t matter the what. Just knowing that you are simply enough for anything this world throws at you will definitely transform how you feel about yourself!
